Java Trip with Rain and Tante Sandra, Part 7
One of the main reasons joining this Java Trip was attending a wedding in Yogyakarta with Tante Sandra. On Saturday the 15th of July 2023, tante Sandra and I were picked up by her friend Mr. Kamto who lives in the Netherlands. Together we went and attended the wedding we were invited to.
At the wedding, I witnessed for the first time in my 5 years living and studying in Indonesia, a traditional Javanese wedding ceremony whereas Javanese traditional attire was worn by many.
Furthermore, a variety of food was offered to their guests, from Western to Indonesian culinaire. Amazing Javanese performances, live gamelan Jawa and a live band.
Emotionally, for the last 5 years living and studying in Indonesia from Bali to Padang, this has always been one of the main things on my bucket lists of places to go, be, do, learn and witness, whereas this experience surely made me feel blessed and faithful to trust in God’s Timing.
